The speakers at our opening event will share their top tips for starting out on the journey to lead change before taking questions and networking with attendees.

Gina Martin is a political activist and writer, and will be speaking at the festival's launch event.
In February 2019, Gina's eighteen-month campaign to make upskirting a sexual offence in England and Wales was successful and The Voyeurism Act was passed into law. In 2018 Gina was named ‘One to Watch’ by Cosmopolitan and named one of porter’s Incredible Women of the Year.
She won Equality Champion of the Year at the Stylist magazine Remarkable Women Awards, shortly after being crowned Cosmopolitan’s Change Maker of the Year 2019. This year, Gina also published her debut book ‘Be The Change: A toolkit for the activist in you.'
Co-authors of Slay in your Lane, the critically acclaimed bestselling guide to life for black women, Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené, will be speaking at Friday's event.
A multi-award winning journalist and author, Yomi is currently women's columnist at the Guardian and has regular columns in the Metro and i Paper. Last year, along with her co-author Elizabeth, she was listed as one of the most influential people in London by the Evening Standard and named a 'Future Shaper' by Marie Claire. She was also awarded Journalist of the Year 2018 by the Women in Africa awards.
An award-winning marketing manager and strategist, Elizabeth previously worked in the City for a global brand producing campaigns that spark conversations and stay ahead of the curve. She now has a column in the Financial Times and has been recognised by The Dots as a woman 'redefining the creative industry.' Last year she was also awarded a Rising Star award in the PR, Communication and Marketing Industry by WeAreTheCity.
