It gives me great pleasure in congratulating Dawn on her professional success. It’s a delight to hear the news that she has been promoted to the post of Chair of Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Scotland Board. This is an excellent news and I am certain that she will take CMI in Scotland to the next level.
I must say that all this is a result of her hard work and determination. She has been able to gather accolades and has been appreciated by her seniors. Dawn has contributed greatly to the CMI Scotland Board and as well as the organisation and giving her best in every situation.

Starting her career in Government Service, Dawn has over 20 years’ experience in general and HR management, with over 12 of these in senior management roles.
Graduating from the University of Abertay Dundee, with a BA(hons) in Criminology and a postgraduate Diploma in Enterprise Creation, Dawn has subsequently run 2 successful enterprises. The first being in events management, delivering educational events for school children and organiser and manager of the Tayside STEM Space School which linked with NASA. The other as the Managing Director of a training company which delivered Management and Leadership training and qualifications to a range of high profile multinational organisations, and as programme Director for CMI qualifications, before returning to employment with Wood Group as a Training & Competence Lead responsible for over 3000 employees, followed by HR Business Partner working on contracts such as Shell and BP.
Dawn is now HR Manager at a local security firm.
Dawn holds a Postgraduate Certificate from the Manchester University in International Human Resource Management and Development, is CIPD qualified, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a CMI Scotland Board Member.
