Some interesting news to share with you; as part of supporting members on their career journey CMI have launched a new initiative “The Future Leaders Network”.
This is a platform for career development for graduates, figures have shown that 90% of employers expect graduates to be responsible for their own career development. There is an expectation of our graduates to be “work ready” with an existing soft skill set. Unfortunately, this skill set is not a given in terms of development whilst at university and many students leave university without developing soft skills such as resilience, being ethical and team-working skills. By their engagement with this network our members will be in control of their development and are less likely to be one of the 49% of graduates forced to take non-graduate jobs.
The Future Leaders Network aims to provide access to a supportive community of like-minded, ambitious individuals, through dedicated events and social media platforms. Further information can be found here.
