Managers already educated to degree level in the eastern region can have their experience and expertise recognised, by applying for Chartered Manager Status via the CMI.
Acknowledged and valued across all sectors, Chartered Manager is the highest status that can be achieved in the profession and formally acknowledges managerial competence and functional ability.
Irene McManus, Founder and Director of Ignite Consultancy that provides Executive Search and Headhunting, recently achieved Chartered Manager status after previously achieving the CMI Level 7 Executive Diploma in Management in 2009. She says: “I am passionate about personal development and I enjoy developing future managers to become more confident and competent as leaders.”
Irene adds: “Putting the time and effort into applying for Chartered Manager status is a must for existing managers to acknowledge established skills and experience as well as inspiring others. I also support individuals to develop their management skills through designing, delivering and assessing CMI Leadership and Management qualifications at all levels.”
Assessment is undertaken either by written submission or professional discussion and the aim is to demonstrate consistent and effective performance in the past 18 months. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded chartered member (CMgr MCMI) or chartered fellow (FCMI) dependent on experience.
