January saw CMI and Nottingham Trent University Nottingham Business School hosting another full-capacity event. Held within the City campus in Nottingham the atmosphere reverberated with the chatter of professionals networking. The guest speaker Jonathan Boddy of Positive Impact provided an impactful insight into effective communication in a crisis, particularly pertinent for leaders.
The Nottingham Business School team headed by Alex Hiller showcased how they support professionals to gain Chartered Manager status, giving the audience key information to help develop their leadership capabilities, including apprenticeship routes. Karen Nicolls of CMI spoke informatively about CMI, Chartered Manager member benefits. To cap it off the audience were enthusiastically involved in a thought-provoking leadership activity led by Alison Cook, volunteer CMI Events Champion on the East Midlands Regional Board. Judging by the feedback, an overwhelming success.
