Mae is a freelance information/knowledge management consultant with wide experience gained managing information services of corporations and public service organisations for over 30 years. During this period, Mae gained a wide range of competencies including: IM/KM skills; management and leadership skills; financial and budgeting skills; people skills; ICT skills; wide subject knowledge; and good evaluative and analytical skills.   Mae co-ordinates the author led CSNet Book Discussion Group for Management and Business books.

As a freelance business advisor to SMEs in the past 14 years, Mae has carried out ICT projects in a variety of sectors, advising on E-business problems and recommending IT based solutions to match. To facilitate the use of resources, she advises businesses on data/information governance and business information management problems. Mae was also accredited Technology Means Business (TMB) advisor and Work Wise advisor during this period.

As a volunteer Mae has applied her management and assessor skills as a school governor; participated in the MLA London: Knowledge Transfer programme 2009-10; Chair CMI, Central & Westminster Branch, London 2006-8; trustee for a women’s art group 1997-2006; data administrator, Women in Management (WiM), London group; assessor London Excellence Awards 2010-; mentoring young entrepreneurs on behalf of Westminster Business Council and WiM 2012.

Mae has an MPhil in Information Management; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (FCLIP), and OU Diplomas in Systems Management and Behaviour. She writes book reviews regularly for the Electronic Library.
