Management 4.0

Developing the next generation of managers and leaders.

CMI’s Management Transformed campaign seeks to answer a fundamental question – what are the skills that managers and leaders will need in a workplace and world transformed by new technology, new business models and societal changes?

CMI’s Management 4.0 campaign was started before Covid-19 and set out to answer a fundamental question – what are the skills that managers and leaders will need in a workplace and world transformed by new technology, new business models and societal changes? As a result of Coronavirus we are now living through much of the rapid change and disruption that the project initially sought to explore and the challenges (and opportunities) have been accelerated.

We are currently undertaking our research looking at how management practice will need to evolve. In this context, we are looking at questions such as how leaders, wherever they are based, can:

  • keep their teams happy and productive make their business agile and profitable, whilst ensuring the psychological and physical safety of their workforce
  • step up to support their workforces and understand what skills are needed in a period of covid recovery and beyond.

Look out for our final report due to be published in October 2020. In the meantime, you can keep track of our campaign on social media using #ManagementTransformed.
