Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Being recognised and appreciated for the social and economic impact of my work for my clients, and also for the positive influence I have on my team’s culture and performance would be great. Pride would be the main feeling for me. It would show me and my team that our hard work pays off, and I value their energy and support. It would also let me show others what being chartered means and how valuable it is and inspire my team to follow my example.

David Orr ChMC Matt MacDonald View David's Profile
Client-focused, innovative and committed to genuine stakeholder engagement, David was the first and youngest ChMC to have successfully completed the on-programme route in Mott MacDonald. He has since provided valuable feedback and learning to benefit others. David’s development and performance as a consultant is testament to the Chartered Management Consultant award.
Grounded in his commitment to sustainability, David has used management consulting to create a positive impact in communities across the globe. These range from a project in Pakistan to advance COVID-19 medical collaboration to an Indian urban development programme. He has seen particular success in Kenya to develop a national carbon reduction tool and a girls’ education programme in South Sudan. Throughout, David has embraced the ChMC’s values to demonstrate the highest level of ethics, client focus and project management expertise.
David’s commitment to advancing sustainability for clients extends beyond the office, including as an Associate at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School, an Executive with a STEM-focused NGO and as a Non-Executive Director with a motorsport sustainability organisation. He has also published widely in both academic and non-academic contexts.
It was therefore no surprise that the United Nations Global Compact recognised David as their 2022 Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer for Climate Mitigation. This award highlights David’s impact in emerging markets and should be a source of pride for the industry as a whole.
