Client-focused, innovative and committed to genuine stakeholder engagement, David was the first and youngest ChMC to have successfully completed the on-programme route in Mott MacDonald. He has since provided valuable feedback and learning to benefit others. David’s development and performance as a consultant is testament to the Chartered Management Consultant award.
Grounded in his commitment to sustainability, David has used management consulting to create a positive impact in communities across the globe. These range from a project in Pakistan to advance COVID-19 medical collaboration to an Indian urban development programme. He has seen particular success in Kenya to develop a national carbon reduction tool and a girls’ education programme in South Sudan. Throughout, David has embraced the ChMC’s values to demonstrate the highest level of ethics, client focus and project management expertise.
David’s commitment to advancing sustainability for clients extends beyond the office, including as an Associate at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School, an Executive with a STEM-focused NGO and as a Non-Executive Director with a motorsport sustainability organisation. He has also published widely in both academic and non-academic contexts.
It was therefore no surprise that the United Nations Global Compact recognised David as their 2022 Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer for Climate Mitigation. This award highlights David’s impact in emerging markets and should be a source of pride for the industry as a whole.
Ellie has dedicated her entire career to the public health sector. As a director at EY, she has proven to be exceptional in running large, complex public health programmes, drawing on a wealth of experience working in the NHS.
She has become well known for delivering sustainable results, developing and leading high-performing teams and creating lasting client relationships. She is a transformative leader who leans proudly on the Chartered Management Consultant competency framework and consistently receives strong feedback – along with constant requests from individuals wanting to work with her on projects.
Central to her work is creating an inclusive and diverse environment, premised on authenticity. Her work at both EY and the MCA demonstrate her commitment to equality; of particular note is Ellie’s work in founding EY ‘Quiet Leadership’, an initiative focussed on personality diversity and authenticity.
For her clients, Ellie’s contributions are helping to improve public health care services in the UK. Among her more recent achievements are driving noticeable healthcare improvements – thanks to her work, the regulator lifted a warning notice for a large hospital while elective surgical times were reduced across three hospitals as part of an integrated care system.
Ellie always puts EY and client values at the heart of her work, ensuring she is fully versed in the organisations’ ethics codes and governance frameworks. Her extensive experience allows her to lead in this space and guide colleagues (at all levels) to deeper understandings of the ethical position of both EY and her clients.

It gave her the confidence to talk to her clients about the value she could bring, and the ability to walk into a room with more gravitas. The continuous improvement element of the Chartership inspires her to continue to learn; to gather feedback from her teams, leaders, and clients; and to push herself out of her comfort zone.
