Working with the Armed Forces

And supporting military personnel to succeed

CMI has worked extensively with all areas of the Armed Forces for over two decades to deliver qualifications and accredited solutions to support individuals throughout their military careers and beyond.

Translate your Armed Forces Experience into a Meaningful Qualification

The relationship between CMI and the Armed Forces has flourished over two decades, with CMI often recognised as the partner of choice for many military personnel. We offer the chance for members of the Armed Forces to have their learning recognised by an industry leading professional body, translating what they have learnt and helping them to demonstrate their skills in a meaningful and valuable way that employers understand.

I believe that others, particularly in the Navy, should strive for Chartered Manager status, as it will raise the profile of a very large cross-section of very capable managers inside the military.

The Armed Forces Covenant

CMI is incredibly proud to be a significant partner to the military for many years in accrediting and developing skills, and have demonstrated our commitment by signing their Covenant. The Covenant exists to redress the disadvantages that the Armed Forces community may face in comparison to other citizens, and to recognise sacrifices made.

For over two decades, CMI has been helping military personnel not just improve performance in their role, but build confidence and carry qualifications to help them resettle into civilian life at the end of their military career. We are delighted to be able to extend this to Service spouses and partners to gain Management and Leadership qualifications to help support them to excel in their careers, too.

Celebrating Armed Forces Day

CMI has an extensive relationship with the British Armed Forces, supporting military personnel to equip them with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be successful managers and leaders.

That’s why we’re proud to support Armed Forces Day and have created this #SaluteOurForces video to pay tribute to our Service personnel who work incredibly hard to keep us safe in the UK and across the globe.
