Winning the CMI Emerging Manager of the Year Award would be a defining milestone in my professional career and a huge honour.

It would recognise the commitment, resilience, ambition, and personal growth that I have demonstrated since the age of 17, when I proactively pitched my own degree apprenticeship opportunity, aligning Splendid Hospitality Group with the CMI and University of Leeds.

To have this journey acknowledged, from Sixth Form student to a trusted and impactful member of the Sales team within a hospitality business employing over 2,500 staff nationwide by the age of 21 years old, would be incredibly meaningful and affirm the tremendous value of apprenticeships in developing future workforce leaders.

"Just being nominated and shortlisted for this Award is already a huge honour. Winning this award would be incredibly meaningful to me because it would recognise the approach I choose to take, which is leading with kindness, positivity, and support. I genuinely believe that when people feel valued and encouraged, they perform at their best, and this would celebrate the impact of creating a positive and empowering environment. "

"Recognition for the hard work that I have contributed to the business, and evidencing my development as a leader from working with project teams. This would also prove influential as I continue to be an alumni support contact for local students, particularly at my previous schools and colleges."
