CMI Awards of Excellence
The Department of Postgraduate and Professional Studies (DPPS) at the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is a dynamic academic unit dedicated to advancing postgraduate education and lifelong professional development in the fields of business and management. FBM started its business in 1956 by conducting courses in commerce and offering an 18 day preparatory program for the London Chamber of Commerce to benefit the bumiputeras. Since then, it has bloomed into being Malaysia’s largest business faculty, enrolling more than 40,000 students now across the country. It offers various highly-recognized business qualifications from Pre-Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate, as well as extensive continuing professional development programs and summer programs.
From a local player, FBM has risen to the international prominence, achieving well-known global recognition through prestigious awards, academic rankings, and various accreditations. Among the prestigious awards received by FBM are: i) The Golden Globe Tiger 2018 (Education Leadership) Award for Best Educational Institution in Retail, ii) The Golden Globe Tiger 2018 (Education Leadership) Award for Best Educational Institution in Banking and Insurance, iii) Best Islamic Finance Qualification 2018 and 2019 for BBA (Hons) Islamic Banking at Global Islamic Finance Award, and iv) ASEAN Risk Awards 2018, Winner in the category Risk Educator Award.

In addition, FBM also notched on local accreditation from Malaysia’s Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) for its BBA (Hons) Business Economics, BBA (Hons) Finance, BBA (Hons) Islamic Banking and BBA (Hons) Insurance programs.
