Operations Manager, Nuffield Department of Medicine
University of Oxford

Winning this award would feel like recognition of the journey I’ve taken. I started ten years ago with just GCSEs, in temporary administrative roles, and there was no obvious path to follow. To win would feel like an acknowledgement of the sustained effort and judgement involved in building a career by taking responsibility early, seeking out challenge, and shaping opportunities rather than simply moving along a predefined route.

Winning the CMI Apprentice of the Year Award would be an honour and a professional acknowledgement of the learning and impact from my apprenticeship, as well as shared recognition for my team and mentors who supported me on the journey.

To win this award would be a profound validation of my mission to prove that leadership has no boundaries within the NHS.More importantly, it would shine a spotlight on the "invisible" workforce—the housekeeping and catering teams I have championed throughout my studies. Winning would demonstrate that when we invest in ourselves through CMI learning, we aren't just gaining a degree; we are gaining the tools to close 100% invoicing backlogs, clear 3,000+ maintenance tickets, and foster a culture where every single colleague feels they belong.

Senior Consultancy and Specialised Proposition Manager - Numark

Winning this award would be an incredible honour and a professional milestone I would never have imagined three years ago. At that point, I had extensive practical experience but no formal qualifications or professional recognition. Achieving my degree, Chartered Fellowship, and now being shortlisted already represents a transformational journey.
