HTQ in Operational Management (Level 5) 610/1289/0 Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) are Level 4 or 5 qualifications that have been quality marked to indicate their alignment to employer-led occupational standards. HTQs align to approved occupational standards and allow learners to enter their chosen profession or progress onto higher education. CMI's Level 5 Diploma in Operational Management has been approved by the Government for delivery as a Higher Technical Qualification. It has been designed for practising middle managers and leaders at operations, division, departmental or specialist level, who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The primary role of a practising or aspiring manager and leader is to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver the aims and objectives in line with the organisational strategy. The CMI HTQ in Operational Management is funded through Advanced Learner Loans (ALLs), and will be transitioned to the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) from January 2027.
