Press release:

Reaction to Prime Minister's announcement on lockdown restrictions being lifted

Monday 05 July 2021

Daisy Hooper, Head of Policy at CMI, said:

The return to the workplace isn't going to be easy. Our research shows a breakdown in trust between employers and employees on workplace safety. Many people also said they would consider resigning if remote working was no longer an option once restrictions are lifted.

CMI supports hybrid working and employers need to develop flexible and inclusive ways of working in the post lockdown workplace. This will not only help employee well-being but also assist with recruitment, retention and productivity. Managers also need to focus on rebuilding trust and making the workplace return a positive experience.
