FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR MANAGEMENT BOOK OF THE YEARSaturday 16 February 2019
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has announced the four finalists for the 2019 Management Book of the Year.
The four books were judged by a panel of business leaders and academics and beat over 160 other entries to win their respective categories: Practical Manager, Aspiring Manager, Management Futures and Innovation. Each will now compete for the overall Management Book of the Year award, which will be announced at Kensington Palace on 15 May 2019.
The four winning category books and finalists for Management Book of the Year are:
- The CEO Next Door - by Elena Botelho, Kim Powell & Tahl Raz, published by Penguin Random House
- Myths of Leadership - by Jo Owen, published by Kogan Page
- Factfulness - by Hans Rosling, Ola Rosling & Anna Rosling Rӧnnlund, published by Hodder & Stoughton
- Make Elephants Fly - by Steven Hoffman, published by Little Brown Book Group
Launched in 2010, the CMI Management Book of the Year awards signposts managers and leaders to books that are breathing new life into management and leadership thinking. The competition is run in association with The British Library and is sponsored by Henley Business School.
