Ann Bell has held the role of Higher Education Champion since October 2013, when Regional Boards were created, and is also Deputy Chair.
Ann is a business and education transformation leader, qualified educator and chartered professional manager. She is experienced in leading and in governing complex educational institutions, including adult community learning colleges, FE colleges, secondary schools and universities. Ann has a proven track record in delivering improved performance and business results within a chartered professional body, as well as leading and motivating individuals and teams, and forging new strategic alliances within the education and business sectors.
Ann holds degrees and higher qualifications from Canterbury Christ Church University, the Open University, the University of Hertfordshire, and Anglia Ruskin University. She is a Fellow of the RSA, governor of a secondary academy school in Essex, and University business board member.
