ICMCI Trustees Liaison Group.

Members Institutes in 48 countries

The Institute of Consulting was a founder member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) in 1987. ICMCI now has member institutes in 48 countries and there is increasing interest around the world from prospective new members.

The work of ICMCI is overseen by its Trustees, appointed by their member institutes. The UK has four Trustees and the ICMCI Trustees Liaison Group provides a forum in which they meet together with IC to provide a link between IC and ICMCI. As well as attending the quarterly meetings of the Group, the job of a Trustee also requires involvement with international (unpaid) projects to advance the international interests of IC and ICMCI. One of the purposes of ICMCI is the formulation and promulgation of international standards in management consulting, so many of the projects have this as their focus.

Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term, but the expectation is that they will serve for more than one term so as to become familiar with ICMCI and be able to contribute effectively.
