CMI’s Submission to Comprehensive Spending Review 2020
Monday 28 September 2020CMI publishes its submission to the Comprehensive Spending Review 2020.
The UK continues to experience unprecedented disruption, with the economy facing a number of structural challenges, many of which existed before the pandemic arrived.
The submission outlines CMI’s insights and research on the impact of the pandemic to date, the barriers to the uptake of training, and the key skills gaps employers face. It presents policy recommendations designed to create a clear and coherent approach to adult skills and retraining, bolstering the UK’s economic recovery and laying the foundations for the Government’s ambitions around ‘levelling-up’ to be realised.
