Many people have the opportunity to join professional bodies and membership organisations during their working lives – but what’s the real value that can be gained from this?

At this event, hosted by CMI and the University of the Highlands and Islands, you will hear from Dawn McKaig, Chair of the CMI Scotland board and Henry Blake, CEO of Woodblocx – a local business that has featured on BBC TV’s Dragons Den and now exports its products across the world.

Hosted by the university’s key account director Gary I Campbell, there will be:

  • a panel discussion on the benefits of CMI membership and how that can assist individual career progression at all levels
  • an illustration of how CMI members and membership can benefit businesses
  • a chance to hear how the university can assist businesses in the region and a chance to network with fellow business owners, current managers and managers of the future
