With 25 years in research, 7 start-ups, I am 'a bit of a 'maverick' spanning the academic and commercial worlds, having discovered the hard way some of the pitfalls to avoid with many tough lessons learned. Stemming from our Incubation Centre BaseKX, I am privileged to lead a specialist team who can and do, help create, develop and grow value creation enterprises.As a member of the UCL Innovation & Enterprise Senior Leadership team, I lead the extra-curricular entrepreneurship programmes across our community of 52,000 staff, students and researchers. Previously I represented the UK Government Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) as a UK member for European Interreg 2 Seas (England, France, Belgium and Netherlands) and Channel (France Channel England) Programmes, having created over €6m European Projects focusing on innovation and enterprise across multiple European member states. As a Director of Enterprise Educators UK, I lead their Global Growth strategy.In London. I act for the London Mayor as Entrepreneur Trainer and Advisor for Entrepreneurship for all the 39 London Universities.
