In launching the Management 4.0 Campaign, CMI have adopted an inclusive approach in asking the question: what will good management look like in the future?
The Wales Conversation is part of the campaign which aims to produce robust and practical recommendation to helps managers at every level and across all sectors. The aim is to create a body of work through a national conversation which will contribute to an understanding of the actions required to prepare the current and next generation of leaders for the future, which reflects the changing and dynamic nature of the workplace.
Introducing the conversation is our keynote speaker, Dr Jan Green who is a Board Member of CMI (Cymru) who is actively engaged researching emergent gaps in leadership skills within the engineering sector, which synthesises aspects of the Management 4.0 framework. Jan has extensive leadership experience within the food industry and waste management; both sectors have undergone transformational change since the millennium; she also runs a successful business consultancy which specializes in maximizing business performance.During her academic career Jan has been the Programme Director of the Executive MBA at Wrexham Glyndŵr University. This role has provided her with a current practitioner insight into problems being experienced by a range of organizations within North Wales, many of which can be traced back to managerial practices, addressed by the students attending the programme.Jan will provide an introduction to the topics of management and leadership before outlining the elements of Management 4.0 and inviting the audience to participate in The Wales Conversation.
