Start Time: 12:50 PM

End Time: 1:20 PM

Duration: 0 hour 30 minutes

Capacity: 500

Most people don’t think of themselves as leaders, but as John and his co-authors claim in their new book, ‘The Everyday Leader’, every one of us is a leader; a leader of emotions, values, behaviours, even beliefs. In his talk, John will provide examples of ordinary people undertaking extraordinary leadership roles.

The webinar will cover:
  • Changing your mindset to accept leadership challenges
  • Leading by example when no one is watching
  • How our fear of embarrassment overcomes our desire to do something valuable

By the end of this webinar, each attendee will be more alert to the frequent opportunities to take a leadership position at home, at work and in the community, and yet appear to all those around them to be more of a follower.

John Cross

The Everyday Leader; how to motivate, empower and influence those around you.
When my co-authors and I wrote `The Li le Black Book for Managers`, published in
2013, we always intended to write a book on leadership, and yet when we approached different publishing houses they all told us that the market for leadership books was much smaller than that for managers. We thought that was wrong and styled our book to appeal to everyone, including every parent, and every corporate executive.
John is an executive coach, author and former CEO of iSolon. His 30 year career has spanned the commercial, public and voluntary sectors.
John has transferred his knowledge into the design of leadership and management development programmes, which he has delivered around the world to major corporations, and has acted as an invited guest speaker for a number of leading institutions, including Henley Business School and the LSE.
John lives in Cambridge with his wife Julia. Both support Arsenal football club. He is a qualified fixed wing and helicopter pilot, and Class 1 HGV truck driver.
