Friday 04 June 2021

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has today (Friday 4   June) announced  that its Head of Press and PR Anil Ranchod has been included in PR technology company Propel’s annual list of industry-leading, influential in-house PR professionals – The #Propel100.

Propel CEO Zach Cutler, said:

The Propel 100 is PR software company Propel’s list of the most influential people within the PR industry identified by its platform and accumulative research data. The Propel 100 aims to recognize a diverse set of 100 influencers within the PR industry to both draw attention to their talent and educate others about what it means to be a PR influencer in today’s world. This list intends to celebrate best practices of in-house PR pros across different positions, and those from all different backgrounds.

We are excited to release the Propel100 list of the top in-house PR professionals in the world in 2021. We have used the Propel PR platform, along with in-depth evaluation and a manual vetting process, to identify the true movers and shakers in the industry – with a focus on diversity.

Propel determines this list based on a detailed scan and analysis of globally based Twitter users. The company uses a set of metrics including follower count, engagement rate, overall content relevance to PR and more to do so. It prioritizes diversity and makes certain that the final list will include top in-house professionals from around the globe.

Born in Zimbabwe, Anil subsequently moved to the UK and embarked on a career in PR, marketing and communications in the early 1990s. He has worked in the industry for almost 30 years and joined CMI in January, where he was recruited to establish an in-house PR capability.

Niamh Mulholland, Executive Director of External Affairs at CMI, said:

This is fantastic news and we’re delighted to have Anil as part of our team. At CMI we pride ourselves on bringing out the best in all our staff and promoting a culture where people can thrive and Anil plays an important role in helping us achieve that. Anil only joined us in January when he began establishing our in-house media team.  For him to be recognised in this way is not just a huge honour for him but also for the CMI family.
