We are currently seeking an Engagement Executive to join our fantastic Engagement team to maintain and build on our employer and provider partner relationships and business, aiming to be “partner of choice” in the management and leadership space

What you will be doing;

  • Developing and delivering implementation and engagement plans for partners within agreed service levels using virtual and digital approaches
  • Introducing and supporting the use of self service options to by partners

Financial Accountant

Base - Corby
Salary - £30,000 per annum

CMI has a fantastic opportunity for a recently ACA qualified accountant to join us as a Financial Accountant.

You may be making your first steps from audit practice into industry, or you may be looking for a new challenge where you can roll your sleeves up and make a difference, either way, we have a great opportunity for you to develop yourself both personally and professionally.

You would be joining our Financial Controls & Operations team of 6 who are responsible for areas such as accounting, transaction processing, financial controls, cost oversight, financial and management information reporting. The role involves interaction with other teams across the business, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Human Resources, Sales, Partner Engagement and Senior Leadership teams, internal and external auditors, along with external service providers.

Some of what you will be getting involved in;

  • Evaluating new accounting standards, effectively communicating the impact of changes to stakeholders, and implementing accounting policies that are GAAP compliant.
  • Assisting Head of Financial Control and team members in completion of financial year-end close process.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for our charitable and commercial businesses.

Business Development Manager - Higher Education. (East Anglia)

Base - Home based to cover the East Anglia region
Salary - circa £40,000 plus performance related bonus and company car/allowance

CMI has a fantastic opportunity for you as a business development manager in CMI’s Higher Education team, in a growing organisation that is truly making a difference to people’s futures. We’re looking for an established seller who has a track record in partnering with Universities or FE colleges selling knowledge-based, membership or subscription products. You will understand the higher and further education markets, and you may also have experience in apprenticeships.

You will report into the Head of Higher Education Partnerships, and cover Universities in East Anglia within a team of nine. You will work closely with the Higher Education sales team, and CMI’s Partner Engagement team, sharing market intelligence, and collaborating on partnerships with existing and new university partners who may want both CMI’s accreditation and apprenticeship services. You will be accountable against a sales target and use Salesforce fully and effectively. You will be able to identify new market opportunities and act as a representative of CMI at industry events, conferences, and partner-run events. You will ensure that all CMI resources are managed effectively and responsibly, through a culture of continuous improvement which delivers value for money and quality service standards.

Contracts Lawyer

Base - This role would work well for someone who would like to work primarily from home, with some time in CMI’s Corby and London offices
Part Time - 3 days per week

CMI has a fantastic opportunity for you as a part-time (3day p.w.) commercial lawyer within our Secretariat department, in a growing organisation that is truly making a difference to people’s futures. We’re looking for an experienced contracts lawyer, with a background in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, with good knowledge of data protection laws and GDPR, to join our busy department.

As a mission-driven social enterprise with charitable status, it is imperative that our contracts do not expose the Institute to unnecessary risk and this role, alongside the Institute Secretary and COO&CFO, will play a critical part in ensuring this. You will report into our Institute Secretary, and be responsible for providing end to end legal support on our commercial contracting process including drafting, reviewing and providing easy to digest advice within CMI’s risk framework. You will work to ensure the smooth running of our contracts process, including liaising with legal teams at our university, training provider and employer partners, and ensure our contracts are legally compliant and appropriate for the parties involved. You will also review supplier contract to ensure CMI’s position is appropriately represented. Fostering two of our core values, progressive and practical, you will also look to regulate and continually improve on our contracting process.

Alongside looking after our contracts, you will also take a key role within our GDPR team, and manage our internal and external GDPR queries and manage our contracts database. You will manage and respond to subject access requests, review data protection clauses in client terms and supplier contracts and provide legal support on escalated queries and complaints alongside the rest of the GDPR team and our external DPO.

This is a part-time role, and would work well for someone who would like to work primarily from home, with some time in CMI’s Corby and London offices.

Media Relations Assistant

Base - London
Salary - Circa £22,000pa

CMI has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and creative Media Relations Assistant to join our media relations team. We are a forward thinking, mission driven organisation using creative communications and active engagement with the media world. Our aim is to be proactive and influence the news agenda.

This Media Relations Assistant is a new role, reporting directly to our Head of Media Relations. You will work closely with our Director of Communications and External Affairs and our communications, social media and policy outreach teams to help strategically co-ordinate media efforts with new research, national news, and events.

Some things you will be getting involved in;

  • Handling day-to-day media relations activities, both responsive and proactive
  • Helping to produce communications content, including press releases, blogs, editorials and reactive comments.
  • Monitoring and collating press coverage; collating data and producing regular campaign performance reports
  • Helping to prepare our internal experts for interviews, including helping to hone clear, effective messaging and staffing interviews
  • Cultivating and coordinating relationships with reporters, journalists and key influencers. This will include creating targeted media lists, sharing CMI materials on an on-going basis, and regularly arranging meetings and press briefings between CMI experts and influential journalists.

The role is home based with regular travel across your region to visit clients.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will recommend, plan and write content with an agile and practical approach to meet both short and long term needs.
