May 2025

In May, Dr. Christina SS Ooi FCMI, CMI Malaysia Regional Board Member, delivered an insightful leadership talk on "What It Takes to Be a Sustainable Leader" at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU).

The event began with welcome remarks from Prof. Dr. Kashif Hussain, Dean of the School of Business and the School of Global Hospitality and Tourism at APU, followed by an introduction to CMI by Goldstein Carmel Polycarp, International Engagement Manager at CMI.

During the seminar, Dr. Christina Ooi shared her invaluable insights on how to embrace purposeful and sustainable leadership. Her session focused on the key qualities and practices that define a leader who drives success not just in the short term, but in a way that is ethical, responsible, and aligned with long-term societal goals.

Big thanks to Dr. Christina Ooi and APU for such an impactful session. It’s inspiring to see how these conversations are helping shape the next generation of leaders who are set to become hashtag #BetterManagers and pioneers of sustainable leadership in the future!
