Workplace wellbeing roundtable event

May 2025

On 20 May, CMI Malaysia hosted a dynamic roundtable discussion at the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) on the crucial topic of 'Workplace Wellbeing – A Leadership Imperative'.

The discussion drew insights from the 2025 Malaysia Well-being@Work© Index Report, which reveals a concerning 3% decline in overall workplace wellbeing since 2023. This highlights the urgent need for leadership that prioritises the mental, emotional, and social well-being of employees.

Bringing together senior leaders from both education and industry, the roundtable explored how effective leadership can foster a culture of care. Participants shared valuable insights, experiences, and best practices for creating healthier, more engaged, and productive workplaces.

A heartfelt thank you to Hetal Doshi, Organizational Psychologist and CEO of O-Psych, for sharing her invaluable survey findings, which formed the foundation of the Report.

We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone who joined the conversation, as we look forward to continuing this important dialogue and working together to build the next generation of #BetterManagers in APAC!
