Common Questions

How is it assessed?

Apprenticeship assessment is carried out in line with the requirements of the published assessment plan. Apprentices must pass the assessments in order to achieve their apprenticeship and receive the certificate.

Assessment will consist of one mandated method and one optional method, which is detailed in the CMI Qualification Specification linked above.

How is the apprenticeship quality assured?

Ofqual is responsible for the regulation of this apprenticeship. CMI is an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Organisation and has robust quality assurance processes in place to support apprenticeship assessment.

Is this apprenticeship certificated?

Yes. Apprentices that successfully complete all parts of the apprenticeship will receive a full apprenticeship certificate. This will be in addition to any qualifications that are taken as part of the apprenticeship.
