Designed to prepare individuals for digital roles, the Level 4 AI and Automation Practitioner apprenticeship develops the knowledge and skills needed to identify opportunities, improve workflows and support organisations through the responsible use of automation and AI technologies.
This apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals for a variety of future roles, including AI Integration Officer, Digital Automation Specialist, Process Automation Analyst, Technology Operations Coordinator, Digital Productivity Consultant and more.

The AI and Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship develops the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) required for the role, by integrating practical, day-to-day responsibilities with structured professional development.

Only CMI can award Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) or full Chartered Manager (CMgr) status on completion of an apprenticeship, depending on experience.

Apprenticeship assessment is carried out in line with the requirements of the published assessment plan. Apprentices must pass the assessments in order to achieve their apprenticeship and receive the certificate.
Ofqual is responsible for the regulation of this apprenticeship. CMI is an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Organisation and has robust quality assurance processes in place to support apprenticeship assessment.
Yes. Apprentices that successfully complete all parts of the apprenticeship will receive a full apprenticeship certificate. This will be in addition to any qualifications that are taken as part of the apprenticeship.
