The first phase of the partnership will see 400 undergraduates studying for BAs in business earn CMI qualifications in addition to their degrees. Fifty MBA students will works towards achieving Chartered Manager, the highest accreditation in the management profession. It is expected that CMI qualifications and accreditations will be made available to more students as the partnership develops over the next three years.
CMI's president Mike Clasper CBE announced the new partnership while delivering the Annual Bolland Lecture as part of the Bristol Distinguished Address Series held at UWE Bristol. Clasper spoke before an audience of over 200, including 100 leaders from the business community, as well as local government leaders, UWE Bristol academics and alumni.
