We all have such busy lives and many find it tough to unwind. Do you find that your mind often runs away with you? Do you feel yourself on the slippery slope to getting overwhelmed or stressed and would love to be able to press the pause button and collect your thoughts and change how you’re feeling? Many people have all sorts of life or work events thrown at them and wonder how they could more quickly bounce back.
Operating with high levels of stress over a prolonged period of time has been proven to have a detrimental effect on our health. Laura will focus on giving you practical ways to reduce stress and build resilience from a mind-set perspective - how you feel is connected to your thinking - so let’s give you ways to better manage your mind!
Workshop outcomes include:
• Understand what NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is and how understanding our mind can help us better manage how we feel & respond to events around us
• Explore how the mind (our thinking), our body (physiology) and or emotions are connected and how changing one impacts on the others
• Gain a better understanding of how the mind works differently under stress and how to recognise the early signs
• You’ll learn 1 question that will help you get out of the stuck feeling of overwhelm and will help you to start moving forward again (a question you can use to help others too!)
• Take way 6 practical tools and exercises that anyone can use straight away to help reduce stress and build resilience
The session is only a taste of what NLP can offer anyone looking to build resilience and understand techniques to better manage pressure. It’ll be fun, interactive, and full of practical takeaways that you can put into practice straight away. You don’t need any prior knowledge of NLP, simply come with an attitude of curiosity and a willingness to learn!

A chartered member of the CIPD, Laura’s also a qualified ILM level 7 Executive Coach and has a number of Business Coaching & Corporate Training Clients across public and private sectors.
When it comes to NLP & presenting, Laura used to fear presenting in front of groups – she was very familiar with the cold sweats, knocking knees, feeling sick and frequent trips to the ladies! Laura used a number of personal change techniques such as the NLP Swish pattern technique on the NLP Practitioner course to remove her fear of presenting. With all the other NLP tools as her disposal she was amazed at how quickly and easily she could change things that had held her back for years, and saw astonishing results! She brings a sense of fun, energy and passion to her workshops – “she is one of the [NLP] industry’s rising stars!” and gets rave reviews from delegates her talks.
The session starts at 0900 with an opportunity to network with leaders from other businesses. You don't need to be a CMI member either! We are pleased to invite colleagues from ICE and ACCA. As well as business owners and leaders from across Wales. Refreshments will be available.
The speaker will start the presentation at 0930 and we aim to finish by 1100
