Whether you are in a senior leadership role striving for continuous improvement or at an earlier stage of your journey towards excellence, effective leadership is essential for high performance. This year’s conference explores the theme of Authentic Leadership; how to build resilience, step into your own power as a leader and step up to the board positions you always wanted.
Today the world puts huge emphasis on performance and demands more skills than ever before. Yet far too many managers do not get the guidance they need to tackle their challenging roles. One thing we do know though is that diverse leaders with diverse teams deliver the best results.
CMI is committed to developing and enabling brilliant leaders. At the heart of this commitment is a belief that diversity is the foundation for good management as it improves financials, creates better culture and ensures less risky decision making.
To embrace diversity though, we must first have diverse and resilient leaders from a range of backgrounds who are empowered to step up and be recognised for the unique attributes that they bring to the table. You are invited to join us for an afternoon of inspiration, education and networking.
"Graceful Leadership: Effectiveness without burning out" - Dr Joanna Martin, Founder, One of many
In this powerful and often downright hilarious presentation you will gain insight into the little habits we have that hold us back from our best leadership.
You’ll discover:
Get ready for an eye-opening experience, and some easily implementable strategies that will make an immediate difference in your results.
"7 Reasons why being on a board is good for your career" - Fiona Hathorn, MD, Women on Boards
Woman on Boards sets out a roadmap to support female leaders both on Boards and on the journey to secure that ideal Board or C-suite position. They provide practical education, help to open doors and inspire women on a daily basis to step up and into leadership roles where their influence is and skills are really needed.
Fiona’s session will be exploring the key reasons why being on a board is good for your career and some of the skills that need to be developed to get you there. Adding a board or committee appointment to your CV is a sure way of drawing attention and validating your capabilities, whilst catapulting your career up the ladder of success. Individuals that join boards - even of very small organisations - are able to use their experience and technical skills to influence an organisation, whilst at the same time gaining exposure to a wide range of issues from the perspective of a director and building confidence, expertise and networks.
"Building Resilience" - Lisa Whittleton, Director, Illuminate
In the current climate of change and uncertainty leaders need to be resilient and able to build resilience in their business. Lisa will be exploring what resilience is and explaining how to manage pressure and adversity to give your best performance and to support a team to do the same. Lisa will be providing some great tips and tools to ensure that both you and your team continue to thrive regardless of the challenges you face.
