Do you want to make a change in your workplace?
Sign up today to The Fawcett Society’s Gender Equality – Be Part of the Change one-day programme and equip yourself with the tools to become a more powerful and effective advocate for gender equality at work.
This is not your average diversity training.
The Fawcett Society is the UK’s leading charity campaigning for gender equality at work, home, and in public life. We aim to get you talking, sharing, and thinking – not listening to us lecture.
We work with women and men to create a safe space for open discussion, so that you can develop your understanding of the impact of gender and other identities on your experiences in the workplace, and your ability to shape and drive change.
Gender inequality holds us all back. It leads to unproductive decisions based on biases, unfair limits on women and men’s potential, and a less creative and empowering work environment.
If you care about making the world and your organisation a fairer place, but sometimes struggle to know how – this session is the place for you.
What do I get out of it?
- The opportunity to explore the questions and ideas you have around equality in a dynamic and supportive environment;
- Evidence-based, up-to-date ideas about the changes that make workplaces more productive and happy;
- A practical action plan for making your workplace more gender sensitive
A programme that works for you
This session is tailored to you as a participant – we ask you ahead of time about the issues you face in your industry and organisation, bring research and solutions to the table that fit your situation, and the day is designed to be flexible to the needs of people in the room.
With over a decade’s experience in the field, Andrew leads Fawcett’s research and policy work. He has facilitation experience with diverse audiences, from senior leaders to secondary school children, and brings our comprehensive evidence base to bear alongside his commitment to equality. He leads on Fawcett’s work with employers, recently delivering projects with RIBA and Usborne Books.
Director of Deeds and Words, a social business working to tackle the mismatch there often is in workplaces and communities between how we behave towards others and how we want to be treated ourselves, between our sense of purpose and how we work to achieve that purpose. She has over 20 years’ experience as a senior leader and is known as someone who stands up for what she believes in, empowers people to be themselves and inspires others to step up and change things for the better.
