Denise Skinner CMgr CCMI, Chair of the CMI East Midlands & Eastern Regional Board
A creative yet pragmatic strategic thinker who passionately believes that people are the most important part of any business and that excellence in leadership is needed at every level. I have leadership experience gained in management roles in a variety of UK Universities, in the public sector, as a Board member for private limited companies and professional associations and as an owner/ Director of an SME. I am Chair of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute) East Midlands & Eastern Regional Board, a Chartered Manager and a Companion of the Institute. I am also a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) and a Fellow of the HEA (Higher Education Academy). As an academic researcher I built an international academic reputation and a strong record of forging international research collaborations. My research expertise lies in the fields of trust, change management and diversity. I have published co-edited books, chapters and articles on these topics, regularly presented papers at international conferences and been an invited keynote speaker. I am an Emeritus Professor at Coventry University.
