Training Provider of the Year: Corndel

A strategic partner of CMI and our 2024 Training Provider of the Year, Corndel delivers leadership and management training to more than 150 of the UK’s largest organisations. These span a range of sectors, such as healthcare, finance, retail and charity, and include organisations such as the NHS, Credit Suisse, Asda and the NSPCC.

Corndel’s aims are to cultivate leadership and management best practice, improve talent retention, bridge digital skills gaps, build diverse and inclusive teams, and develop organisational agility.

In partnership with CMI, Corndel launched the first Level 3 and Level 5 management apprenticeship programmes in the UK. To date, the partnership has supported 17,791 learners on Level 3, Level 5 and Level 7 management apprenticeships. Of these, 8,056 have become Foundation Chartered Managers and 2,234 have become Chartered Managers

Corndel is consistently rated as excellent by both learners and employers. Its qualification achievement rate (QAR) is 11 percentage points above the national average, while its distinction rate is 45 percentage points higher.

One key to its success is that Corndel is the only apprenticeship provider offering learners one-to-one bespoke coaching. Its programmes also rate highest in terms of impact, with a quarter of students receiving a promotion or pay rise during their course, and 82% reporting increased confidence in carrying out their role.
