Chong Ning Thong is currently studying for a Degree in Business Administration at IPK College, where they are developing a strong practical understanding of management, business operations, and organisational effectiveness.
With a genuine interest in management and leadership development, Chong Ning Thong values learning beyond the classroom. Their CMI nomination reflects a clear commitment to professional growth, the development of recognised management skills, and making a positive contribution to both academic and future professional environments.
Nikhil Theva Raj is the Skills Industry Partnership Manager at Film London, leading workforce strategy, industry partnerships, and sustainable talent development across the UK screen sector. With a background as a freelance Production Manager in high-end film and television, he brings strong commercial insight, governance-led decision-making, and delivery excellence to complex, high-pressure environments.
His leadership is values-driven, with a strong focus on people development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and measurable organisational impact, including financial efficiencies and effective stakeholder resolution. Nikhil is currently completing an MBA with Sunway University Malaysia, further strengthening his strategic, financial, and ethical leadership capability.
Tan Sin Yee is a dedicated business student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, building on her Diploma in International Business. Known for her hard work and commitment to her studies, she has excelled academically while actively engaging in student leadership, community projects, and extracurricular activities. Passionate about entrepreneurship and the luxury goods sector, Tan combines her skills, curiosity, and determination to make a meaningful impact in business and beyond.
Joo Yuen is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting and Finance at IPK College. She is currently working part-time as an Audit and Tax Assistant, where she has been gaining practical experience in audit and taxation since May 2025. She is committed to balancing her academic studies with hands-on learning to develop her knowledge and skills in the accounting field.
Hemavaty is a values-led professional with over 11 years’ experience and a strong commitment to lifelong learning. She completed her undergraduate studies while working full time and recently graduated with an MBA with Distinction from Universiti Malaya-Wales, balancing her studies alongside her role as a primary caregiver.
Her leadership approach is practical and empathetic, shaped by real-world challenges. She has a growing focus on inclusive workforce participation and women’s empowerment and is currently planning VSN Global, a social initiative supporting skills development and economic participation for women, alongside plans to pursue a PhD at UM-Wales
Winning this Award would allow me to build self-confidence and it would be helpful for me to further my dream of starting a business and to grow in the business industry.

The Awards process goes through multiple phases to determine our shortlist, longlist and winners. Each stage of the process is supported by our experienced judges against a set criteria.
The CMI Awards receive entries from a diverse range of organisations and individuals across various sectors and fields. To ensure that our judges are able to reflect this diversity, we carefully select individuals who are experts in their respective fields and have a wealth of experience.
