Naheed is Chief Pharmacist at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is a Senior NHS Manager with over 15 years’ experience working within Acute Hospitals. She is experienced at leading large teams and has successfully turnaround challenged departments as demonstrated through improved performance, staff satisfaction/attrition rates and external audit recommendations to de-escalate from MHRA regulatory compliance. She believes these improvements are driven by cultural changes and Quality Improvement methodology.
Naheed has joined the CMI London Region Board as the Diversity & Inclusion Lead just in time to be part of the CMI 75th Anniversary where the focus is, rightly, on a fair and inclusive workplace. Often “diversity” and “inclusion” are lumped together and assumed to be the same thing. In the context of the workplace, diversity equals representation. Without inclusion, however, the crucial connections that attract diverse talent, encourage their participation, foster innovation, and lead to business growth won’t happen.
Her focus, both within her role at CMI and the NHS is to recognise the leadership behaviours that unlock this inclusion capability. Naheed has a keen interest in digital transformation and innovation. Digitalisation is the future of work, and a professional body there is a need to provide agile leadership and develop effective governance frameworks to prepare members.
