CMI Scotland is the professional development and networking community for CMI members living and and/or working in Scotland. The CMI Scotland Board is made up of a diverse group of CMI members who volunteer their time and experience to support and represent the needs and interests of members in their area.

Before embarking on an academic career Richard gained extensive industrial experience in the retail and hospitality sectors undertaking a range of jobs within a number of organisations.
Richard’s research interests are based in the Organisational Studies area with specific interest in Change Management, Organisational Development & Culture and Leadership. As chair of the Organisational Transformation, Change and Development Special Interest Group of the British Academy of Management Richard is engaged with the latest research and knowledge exchange in this dynamic and exciting area of management scholarship.
As a Lecturer in Management and New Technology at the University of the West of Scotland Richard undertakes course development, teaching and student supervision on undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and creates training and development materials for academic studies and industrial training programmes.
A Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute, Associate at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Higher Academy. Richard recognises the importance of professional qualifications and works to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practical experience.
Tony is an experienced Chair, Non-Exec Director, Trustee and Mentor with specialisms include P3M (Project, Programme & Portfolio Management), business start-ups, leadership of high growth SMEs, succession planning, exit strategies and employee-ownership. He has over 30 years of Board level experience including as Founder & CEO of a Learning Research Company (BusinessLab), Director of a News Corp Company (Worldwide Learning and Founder & CEO of 20/20 Project Management Training. Following the transfer of 20/20 to an Employee Ownership Trust, Tony founded The Centre for Professional Development – a CMI Centre delivering CMI-accredited programmes up to Level 7 and promoting Chartership.
As a project management specialist, Tony is the Author of ’20:20 Project Management’ published by Kogan Page and Contributing Author for ‘The Practitioner Handbook of Project Controls’ published by Routledge. He also wrote NHS Scotland’s Project Management Guidance for Capital Projects. Tony holds an MBA majoring in Software Project Management, lectured on Project Management for The University of Aberdeen (MSc in Project Management) and latterly co-developed the MSc in Project Management for York Business School.
Following a career spanning over 40 years working with international brands in oil & gas, engineering & construction, aerospace & defence, utilities, transport & logistics, and the nuclear sector, Tony is passionate about developing the leadership & management profession and all those involved in it.
Renee Raper MSc, CMgr FCMI, Chartered FCIPD
A people development professional with over 30 years’ experience providing learning consultancy and solutions. She has worked in Europe, Kazakhstan and the Middle East and is a global tutor and coach in leadership and management.
Renee is the founder and director of the consultancy Quo Solvis Ltd and is the Chair of CMI Scotland Board. She enjoys fitness, international travel and reading, and is enthusiastic for CPD and a glass of rioja!
Parikshit Shrivastava is a business transformation leader and senior project manager, specializing in enterprise digital strategy, financial services, and large-scale governance initiatives. With over a decade of experience leading multi-million-pound global programs across the UK, North America, and APAC, he has played a pivotal role in driving digital innovation, risk governance, and regulatory compliance for Fortune 500 organizations.
Parikshit has held leadership positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific, General Electric, and Tata Consultancy Services, leading high-impact cloud modernization, data strategy, and financial compliance programs that have enhanced operational efficiency and business resilience. His expertise spans PMO governance, enterprise IT strategy, and AI-driven analytics, where he has successfully delivered cost-saving automation, digital transformation, and regulatory frameworks at an enterprise scale.
Beyond the corporate world, Parikshit is a passionate advocate for social impact. As the Founding President of KASHTI, an NGO he established, he has led initiatives in education, skill development, and community empowerment, making a tangible difference for children in underprivileged communities.
He holds an MBA from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (RGPV). Certified in PRINCE2, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma, he is committed to advancing leadership, technology, and governance, shaping the future of business and social impact.
With over 7 years in retail and commercial banking, I’ve honed expertise in Financial Analysis, Leadership, and Compliance Management. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science with Honours, a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking from India, and an MBA from the University of Glasgow, where I researched ‘AI in Anti-money laundering: Challenges and Mitigation’ for my dissertation. Born and raised in Bhopal, India, I bring a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Currently with Lloyds Banking Group, I specialize in Financial Services, Operations Management, and Customer Service Management. Beyond my professional role, I have diverse interests including dancing, traveling, caretaking, cooking, and volunteering to support those in need. These hobbies reflect my well-rounded personality and passion for making a positive impact.
An experienced consultant with a background in civil engineering, he has a proven track record of delivering challenging and complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects within the UK and overseas. As a skilled relationship manager and problem solver, he is able to bring large teams of people of all levels together to focus on successful, collaborative delivery solutions.
Currently, Iain is a Senior Consultant for Mott MacDonald ltd, a global engineering, management and development consultancy based in the UK, where he specialises in leading multidisciplinary teams in the provision of Technical Advisory and Design Management services to the NHS on large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
He is a member of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Institution of Civil Engineers, through which he holds membership of the British Hydrological Society and British Dam Society. Passionate for family and CPD, it is not uncommon to find him on a webinar with a well-deserved beer once his daughter is in bed and dinner has been made!
Kenneth is a strategy and leadership professional with nearly a decade of experience helping stakeholders move from vision to execution through structured planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making. His career spans higher education, manufacturing, publishing, sustainability tech, and IT, with applied expertise in strategy development, financial planning, risk management, and transformation. Currently, Kenneth is a Strategic Planning Officer at the University of Dundee. He holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, is a Chartered Accountant (ICAN), and earned a Master’s in Management, Strategy & Leadership from the University of Dundee. His dedication to leadership excellence also led him to attain Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI) status with the Chartered Management Institute, UK.
He also holds directorships at Tayside Cancer Support and the Sight and Social Hub. His previous work with Crescent Kids Charity focused on forging partnerships to improve healthcare outcomes for children with Sickle Cell Anaemia in Nigeria.
Outside of work, he also enjoys web design and writing ReadLift, his personal “corner of the internet”.
