Wong Chun Wai is a media personality with over 40 years experience in the business. He is currently the chairman of Bernama, the Malaysian National News Agency.
Wong previously served in various positions at the Star Media Group, a public listed company, as group chief editor, managing director and chief executive officer. He remains an advisor at SMG, Malaysia’s biggest English language media outlet.
Wong has extensive media network in Asia having served as the chairman the influential Singapore-based Asia News Network, where he remains as an advisor.
He is also the first Malaysian to be elected into the Paris-based World Editors Forum. Wong has won several media awards including the best journalist award for features by the National Press Institute.
He attended financial leadership programs in various universities including the University of Stanford and University of Southern California, organised by the International Centre for Leadership in Finance.
Wong is a social science graduate from the National University of Malaysia. He has served as an adjunct professor at his alma mater as well as at the Northern Malaysia University’s Othman Yeop Business School.
Wong, 63, is currently a director at the Asian Strategic and Leadership Centre, an independent think tank.
He also sits as a council member of CEREBRUM, a think tank initiated by JCorp. Wong also holds directorship in public listed and private companies.
The author of two books continues to write actively including his popular weekly column ”On The Beat” in The Star as well as in social media platforms.
Dr. Gerald Goh Guan Gan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business of Multimedia University, Malaysia. He holds a Master of Arts (Communication) and Doctor of Philosophy, from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a Master of Business (Information Technology), as well as Bachelor (Information Technology), from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
His research interests are in knowledge management, information systems, environmental sustainability, business management, heritage tourism and mass communication. He is currently the Director of Strategy & Quality Assurance at Multimedia University, and is a member of the Centre of e-Services, Entrepreneurship & Marketing at the Faculty of Business.
Dr. Gerald is the Deputy Chair and Secretary of the CMI Malaysia Regional Board.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak started his professional career at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) as a Tutor in 1985. Over the years, through his diligent involvement in the progress of UUM and his determination to excel in whatever he did, he moved up the academic and administrative ladder till he reached the topmost rung and was appointed the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of UUM in June 2010. He served as the VC of UUM for eight years, till August 2018. In his capacity as the VC of UUM, he was instrumental in redefining the role of UUM and marshalling its efforts towards becoming an Eminent Management University in Malaysia. Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak played a key role in advancing UUM to become a 5-star university based on the SETARA and MYRA ratings. Additionally, he also successfully transformed UUM to be placed among the six best Malaysian public universities in the QS Asia and World Ranking.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak is a Professor of Political Science and Leadership at UUM. He obtained his PhD in Political Sociology from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 1999. Prior to that, he received his MA in Politics from the University of York, United Kingdom in 1987. In 2013, he attended the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business School, Harvard University,Boston, USA.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa is a well-known scholar and a notable expert on Malaysian and Southeast Asian politics. He has published extensively in his area of expertise. Among his publications is the well-received book entitled, “The Politics of Bangsa Malaysia” (2014), which has been translated into the Indonesian, Malay, and Japanese languages. His earlier book, published in 2006, entitled “Politik dan Pemerintahan Negara” (Politics and State Governance), is on the list of prescribed texts for students majoring in political science at institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.
Apart from his main interest in political science and international affairs, Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak has acquired considerable expertise in several other areas, namely, ethnicity and nationalism; leadership and management; organizational behavior; political and economic risk analysis.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak was the first Malaysian to be appointed as a CMI Companion, the most senior grade of membership, which is awarded by invitation only. This rare honor had accorded him for his prodigious contribution, underscoring his tenacity of purpose, towards transforming UUM into the best management university in Malaysia. This prestigious position was conferred upon him in 2017 by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), an accredited professional institution for management, based in London. He also sits on the Board of the Regional Chapter of CMI Malaysia. He has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport since his appointment to the post in December 2011. Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak was appointed Chairman of the Malaysian Examinations Council in 2016 by His Majesty the Yang Di Pertuan Agong XIV, The King of Malaysia.
Another accolade, among the many that Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak has received in his long and distinguished career, is the Honorary PhD degree in Education Leadership from Rajabhat University, Bangkok. The honor was formally conferred by The King of Thailand.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak has also served as Visiting Professor at the University of Paris and the University of Le Harve, France, in 2008 and 2009, respectively. He has also served as Visiting Professor at several universities in Indonesia. Before his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of UUM, he held numerous key positions at the university. Among these were Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dean of the School of International Studies, Director of the International Office, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs). He was also one of the founding members of the National Council of Professors, Malaysia (MPN) and now serve as its Deputy Chairman since 2020. He has also served as a senior Professor in Management, Leadership and Politics at UUMKL Campus.
Professor Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak has just retired as the Director General at the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education in January 2021. He spent almost one year in the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia as the Director General. Upon retirement he served at City University Malaysia and Perdana University Malaysia as the Vice Chancellor. With 35 years of experience in both public and private universities and havingheld various management positions, Prof. Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak has vast experience in managing issues and challenges pertaining to higher education institutions at both local and international arena. Now, Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Bin Ishak have been appointed as the Vice Chancellor/Rector of Innovative University College Malaysia beginning 1th July 2024.
Dr Christina SS Ooi is a Board aspirant, former Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), speaker, mentor, published author, thought leader, 6 X LinkedIn Top Voice for Career Management, People Management, Communications Management, Negotiation, Executive Management, and Leadership.
An acknowledged expert in her field, she brings with her more than 30 years of corporate senior management experience in key leadership positions across the Asia Pacific region, notably in procurement transformation management. Her professional experience has been with global and regional organisations across Asia Pacific in various industries from technology, telecommunications, aviation, agribusiness, to gases, technologies and services. She and her teams won awards and accolades and esteemed recognition from the procurement fraternity, both globally and in the Asia Pacific region.
Dr Christina was previously the Chief Procurement Officer, Asia Pacific of a world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for 14 countries. Prior to that, she was Group Procurement Officer with one of the world’s largest plantation companies and crude palm oil producer. Head hunted by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia), she was handpicked as Group Head of Procurement to bring world class procurement practices as part of the national airline recovery plan in Malaysia. She had returned to Malaysia to take on the role of Senior Vice President, Procurement Management with a Malaysian mobile communications company. Prior to that, she spent 18.5 years at a global technology company in both local and Asia Pacific roles in its Integrated Supply Chain organisation, including its managed business process outsourcing practice, where she was based in Singapore for seven years.
In the early years of Dr Christina’s professional life, she worked in both advertising and legal where she practised criminal law in her family law firm in Malaysia. Her penchant for writing saw her contribution to legal research in alternative dispute resolution (mediation) with many of her works published in local and international legal journals. Dr Christina is an active speaker in major Asia Pacific and international conferences on talent management, procurement and supply chain, and sits on judging panels of procurement awards. She previously served on the Asia Advisory Board of International Institute for Advanced Purchasing & Supply (IIAPS), Advisory Board Member of ProcureCon Asia, and Judging Panel of CIPS Excellence in Procurement Awards Asia. Dr. Christina is an Affiliate (Adult) Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). She is on the panel of mentors for Project Girls for Girls (Malaysia Chapter), and a volunteer mentor with Talent Corporation (TalentCorp) in Malaysia. Dr Christina holds a Ph.D. in Law from University of Malaya, Master of Laws, and Master of Business Administration (MBA), and has two first degrees, in Law and in Communication. She is also a certified Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. A published author of her first book on talent management, Dr Christina is currently working on her second book. She is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Dr. Roselina Ahmad Saufi is a Professor in Business and Management at the Malaysian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and Business, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia. She was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) of UMK from 2012 to 2015; and has served as the Group Managing Director for UMS Link Holdings from 2007 to 2012.
Her expertise focuses on strategic issues related to capacity building, human resource development, and rural entrepreneurs’ development. She has rendered her services to government agencies, industries, and NGOs in Malaysia and other countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, China, India, Finland, Japan, and Maldives. Her work mostly focuses on developing policies, indexes, and other strategic issues related to business and management, entrepreneurship, and human resource development. She is an Adjunct Professor and Fellow at several universities in China, Indonesia, India, Switzerland, and Malaysia.
She has received several international awards including the Islamic Leadership Fellow Award from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila in 2009, the Education Leadership Award in Malaysia in 2016, and the Distinguished Women Award for Human Resource Management, India in 2017. She has delivered numerous keynote speeches at several international conferences and published works in the areas of human resource development, management, and entrepreneurship in reputable journals and as of to-date, she has produced more than 50 postgraduate students. She obtained her Ph.D. and Master of Business Administration in 1995 and 1991 respectively from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
An experienced over 27 years ICT Industry Leader, Dr. Kelly Wee is a recognized Chartered Manager with a Chartered Fellow member from the Chartered Management Institute (UK); a Chartered Marketer with a Fellow member from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK); a Chartered Engineer with Member from Institute of Engineering and Technology (UK) and Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council (UK), a registered Professional Technologist with Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT) in Information & Communication Technology (IT) and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (USA).
He has experience working for Global Multinational Companies (MNC), such as Compaq Computers Corp, Hewlett-Packard, LogicaCMG, O’Connor’s, INFOPRO, and Huawei as Chief Information Officer (Business), Worldwide Director of Sales & Marketing and Director, Sales of Tec D Distribution (company owned by TD SYNNEX, USA). Currently, Dr. Kelly is the Head of Enterprise Sales of AIMS Data Centre for the Malaysia market, and have over 27 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Consulting, Strategic Planning, Management, Project Management, and Operation in large enterprises of Telco, BFSI, Manufacturing ), Corporate, SMB, Public Sector, Channel/Alliances and Commercial customers. Skilled in Business Alliances, Managed Services, Enterprise ICT – Hardware, Software and Solution Sales, Business Development, and Channel or Partner Management.
Dr. Kelly graduated with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Management and Science University. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business from the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) and was honored as IUMW Valedictorian for 2017 of the 1st cohort of PhD graduates in IUMW.
